Chipstars review

Overview

Chipstars is an online casino and sportsbook at chipstars.bet. It describes itself as a “crypto and FIAT” casino, and its home page lists both a long range of cryptocurrencies and nine fiat currencies, one of which is the Indian rupee. The about page says the brand launched in 2021, and the footer copyright runs from 2020.

The terms name the operator as SoftSpark Services s.r.l., a Costa Rican company (company number 3-102-933695) based at Edificio Plaza Murano, 1st floor, in Santa Ana, San José. The site says it holds a licence from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros, number ALSI-202409048-FI2, and disputes go to arbitration in Anjouan.

India is not a restricted country in the terms. The only country list we found is in section 8.8, which names countries where NetEnt games can’t be played, and India is not on it. The site loaded normally from our connection, and the lobby, terms and promotions pages are all readable without logging in.

The appeal for Indian players is a large lobby, a rupee account and cashback that is paid as real money. The questions are the bonus maths, which is generous on paper but slow to unlock, and the cashier, which shows its payment methods per country.

Welcome bonus breakdown

Chipstars calls its welcome offer “up to 270% guaranteed welcome bonus in real money for your first 4 deposits”. Each deposit of $30 or more qualifies, and the bonus percentage depends on how much you deposit. The general bonus terms give the tiers:

The promotion page says your total deposits across the four stages determine your full bonus potential, “up to $15,000”. The same structure also applies to the first four sportsbook deposits, so in theory you can collect a bonus on eight deposits. The tiers are quoted only in US dollars. We found no rupee version of this table, so check the amounts in the cashier if your account runs in INR.

How the unlock works

The Chipstars bonus is not a normal sticky bonus. You play with your own money, and the bonus waits in a locked wallet. It unlocks bit by bit according to a fixed formula: wager amount x 1% x 50% = unlocked amount. The terms’ own example says a $500 wager unlocks $2.50.

In plain numbers, every ₹1 of bonus needs ₹200 of bets. A ₹10,000 bonus would need ₹20 lakh in wagers to unlock fully. That’s a lot, and it’s the main reason we don’t score this bonus higher.

The rest of the design is friendly to players:

• No time limit. The bonus never expires, and deposits after the fourth one keep counting towards the unlock.
• Your deposit isn’t locked. You can withdraw your deposit and winnings once you’ve wagered the deposit at least once, and the bonus stays active.
• Bonuses unlock one by one. The first deposit’s bonus unlocks first, then the second, and so on.
• The bonus is never cancelled, whether or not you withdraw, according to the general bonus terms.

The max bet is the point to watch. The welcome offer page and bonus terms both stress that there is no maximum bet, while the general terms say “the max wager for bonus money is 5 Euro or equivalent”. Because the bonus is held in a locked wallet and you play with your own cash, the cap may not bite in practice, but ask live chat before placing big bets if a bonus is running. Note also that Plinko and several mini-games don’t count at all.

Regular promotions

• 10% weekly cashback: 10% of your casino losses for the week, paid every Monday as real money; the terms set a minimum of €5 (or equivalent) and say cashback for live casino is reduced
• 5% rakeback: calculated as wager x 1% x 5% on every bet, win or lose; claimable from $1, never expires and has no wagering
• Crypto Club: with promo code CRYPTOSTARS, a first crypto deposit gets 50% to 100% extra plus free spins; the INR tiers start at ₹1,000 for 50% and ₹10,200 for 100%, with the bonus capped at ₹1,01,000
• VIP programme: up to 25% real-money cashback, higher limits, faster payouts and an account manager on Telegram or WhatsApp, entered “by having enough activity”
• Tournaments: the events page lists slot tournaments from providers such as Pragmatic Play, Gamzix and Fugaso

The Crypto Club page has a few internal mismatches. The intro says the €10 tier gives 50 free spins while the table says 20, one INR table says the top tier starts at ₹50,500 and another says ₹55,500, and the page says the bonus “can be claimed once per player” but also that the code can be used once a month. Its unlock rate (wager x 1%) is faster than the welcome bonus, but it must be wagered within a month, and free-spin winnings need 50x. We score the bonus 6.0. No expiry, a withdrawable deposit and real-money cashback are genuine strengths, but an unlock rate of ₹200 in bets per ₹1, dollar-only tiers and the conflicting max-bet rule hold it back.

Games and providers

The site says it has “10,000+ games”, and the main casino lobby’s filter reported close to 15,000 entries when we loaded it. The Evolution provider page showed 597 games and the Ezugi page 101. We couldn’t confirm a final figure, but this is one of the larger lobbies we’ve reviewed.

Live tables come from Evolution, Ezugi and Beter Live. Crash and instant games come from Spribe, SmartSoft, InOut and Galaxsys.

Only the first page of each lobby section loads without the site’s app, so we can’t rule out Teen Patti or Andar Bahar tables further down. With almost 600 Evolution titles and 100 from Ezugi, they may well be there, but we only list what we saw. Slots and other games

Slots make up most of the lobby, with Pragmatic Play, BGaming and Hacksaw Gaming most visible on the front pages. The lobby data marks which games have a demo mode, a bonus buy or a jackpot, and there is a “Bonus Bunker” section and slot tournaments. The terms say feature buys can’t be bought with bonus money.

There’s a full sportsbook on a separate subdomain, with esports and live betting. Its bonus follows the same four-deposit structure, but you unlock it by wagering the bonus 10 times on accumulators.

We score games 8.0. The lobby is large, Evolution and Ezugi are both there, and Aviator and JetX are easy to find. We’d score higher if we could confirm Indian card games.

Payments for Indian players

This is the section with the most gaps. The home page lists the accepted fiat currencies as EUR, USD, CHF, PHP, BRL, CAD, BAM, INR and GBP, and the crypto promotion has INR price tiers, so a rupee account looks possible. But the deposit policy page shows “Real Money Deposit Options for Your Country”, which means the methods depend on where you are.

The home page lists the accepted cryptocurrencies as BTC, ETH, LTC, ADA, BNB, USDT, USDC, XMR, SOL, DOGE, TRX and XRP. We found no mention of UPI, Paytm, PhonePe, IMPS or NetBanking anywhere on the public pages, so we haven’t marked any of them as available. How to deposit from India

1. Register at chipstars.bet. If you want the welcome bonus, the terms say you select it during registration.
2. Choose INR as your currency if the sign-up form offers it. The withdrawal policy says currency amounts follow your sign-up country.
3. Log in, open the Cashier and pick a method from the list shown for India. Crypto is listed for all countries.
4. Deposit at least $30 or the equivalent if you want the bonus; the methods we saw start at €10.
5. Pay only from an account or wallet in your own name. The withdrawal policy says payment methods issued to third parties aren’t accepted.
6. Before withdrawing, wager the deposit at least once. The terms (section 10.1) require a 1x roll-over of each deposit.

How to withdraw

1. Get verified first. The withdrawal policy asks for photo ID (passport, driving licence or national ID), proof of address from the last three months and, in some cases, proof of payment-method ownership, a selfie or source-of-wealth documents. Black-and-white scans and screenshots aren’t accepted.
2. Upload the documents in your profile under verification, or email them to support.
3. Open the Cashier and request a withdrawal of at least the equivalent of €20.
4. The money goes back to the method you deposited with, up to the amount deposited, under the closed-loop policy.
5. Wait from a few minutes (automated) up to 96 hours, or longer if extra checks are opened.

The withdrawal caps are generous and the stated times are reasonable. What we can’t tell you is how a rupee deposit actually gets into the account from India. Ask live chat which methods are open for India before you register.

Payments score 5.5. INR is listed as a currency and crypto works for everyone, but no Indian method is confirmed on the public pages.

Mobile experience

Chipstars runs in the mobile browser, and the site header has an “Install App” button. We didn’t install it, and the site doesn’t say whether it’s a downloadable app or a home-screen shortcut, so we can’t tell you more. We found no app in Google Play or the App Store linked from the site.

The mobile site uses the same lobby, cashier and promotions as the desktop version. The game tiles load from the site’s own image server, and the lobby pages we loaded were heavy, so a fast connection helps.

Tips for Indian players on mobile

• Bookmark chipstars.bet and check the address before logging in. Don’t install apps from links shared elsewhere.
• Live tables and crash games need a steady connection; use Wi-Fi or a strong 4G or 5G signal.
• Keep a colour photo of your ID and a recent address proof on your phone for verification. Screenshots aren’t accepted.
• If you deposit in crypto, copy the wallet address from the cashier each time and check the network before sending.

We score mobile 6.0: a working mobile site and an install option, but no detail on the app and no store listing.

Customer support

The contact page says support is available 24/7 by live chat and by email at [email protected], including for verification and withdrawals. VIP members get support from an account manager on Telegram or WhatsApp. The site also links to Chipstars communities on Telegram, Facebook, Twitter and Discord. We didn’t open a chat ourselves.

The FAQ covers accounts, payments, technical problems, withdrawals and the VIP programme, but some answers are generic. One still refers to a “poker account balance”.

Languages

Responsible gambling tools

The self-exclusion page offers a break of 1 day up to 12 months, or an indefinite or permanent exclusion on request. You can set it yourself under My Profile → Responsible Gaming or ask support. Support scores 6.5: round-the-clock chat and email and clear self-exclusion options, but no Hindi and a fairly generic FAQ.

Our verdict

Chipstars has a lot going for it on the game side. The lobby has more than 10,000 games, Evolution and Ezugi live tables, Aviator and JetX, and a full sportsbook. Weekly 10% cashback and 5% rakeback are paid as real money, and the published withdrawal limits are generous.

The welcome bonus is unusual. It never expires and doesn’t lock your deposit, which is fairer than most offers. But it unlocks at just 0.5% of what you bet, so think of it as a slow rebate rather than extra money to play with. And the general terms’ €5 bet cap contradicts the “no max bet” promise.

For Indian players the deciding question is payments. INR is listed as an account currency, but the cashier is set per country and we couldn’t see any Indian method such as UPI or Paytm.
