Editorial guidelines

The rules every page on this site follows, whoever writes it.

These guidelines apply to every casino review, game guide, payment page and news article on Desi Casino Check, in English and in Hindi. Our methodology page explains in detail how we research and score casinos; this page sets out the standards behind it.

1. Accuracy comes first

  • Only what a source states. Casino-specific facts (bonuses, wagering, payment methods, limits, withdrawal times, providers, support, apps) must come from a page on the casino’s own site that we have read. Game facts must come from the game provider. Facts we can’t confirm are left out or clearly labelled “not published”, “not listed” or “unconfirmed”.
  • No third-party review sites as sources. We don’t copy facts, ratings, offers or text from other review or affiliate sites.
  • Conflicts are shown, not hidden. When a casino’s pages contradict each other, we report both versions and say which page says what.
  • Sources are listed. Reviews end with the public pages we checked. News articles link to the primary source, normally the provider’s or operator’s own announcement.
  • Our own calculations are labelled. Odds or house edges we work out ourselves are presented as our calculation, with the method explained.

2. Independence from casinos and advertisers

  • Ratings come from the rubric on our methodology page. Commissions, advertising or requests from casinos are not inputs.
  • Casinos can’t pay for a review, a higher position, a better score, removal of criticism or advance sight of a review.
  • Affiliate links are labelled as sponsored and every page carries an affiliate disclosure in the footer.
  • We review casinos with and without affiliate arrangements in the same way, and every review lists weaknesses as well as strengths.
  • We don’t publish exclusive bonus codes or affiliate-only offers as if they were the casino’s public offer; reviews show the offer on the casino’s own site.

3. What we cover, and what we don’t

We write about the player experience: offers and their terms, games, payments, mobile play, support and safer-gambling tools. We don’t give opinions on matters outside that experience. We never describe gambling as a way to make money, never promise or imply guaranteed winnings, and never present a betting “system” as a way to beat the house edge.

4. Clear language

  • Plain English and natural, everyday Hindi. Technical terms (wagering, RTP, volatility) are explained the first time they matter.
  • Amounts are given in the currency the casino uses. Where a casino shows both euros and rupees, we show what it shows rather than converting.
  • Dates are specific (“checked on 31 October 2026”), not relative.

5. Responsible-gambling standards

  • The site is for adults aged 18 and over, and every page says so.
  • Every review names the safer-gambling tools the casino lists and links to our responsible gambling page, which lists free, confidential help we have verified on the helplines’ own websites.
  • We don’t target content at minors, use imagery aimed at children, or encourage chasing losses.

6. Bylines and accountability

Pages are published under the Desi Casino Check editorial team unless an individual writer is named. When a page has a named writer or reviewer, the byline links to a profile page with their background. Every review shows the date its sources were last checked.

7. Keeping content current

We re-check reviews in rounds, oldest first. The “last checked” date changes only when we have actually re-read the casino’s pages. If a casino’s key facts can no longer be confirmed on its own site, we unpublish the review instead of leaving stale information online. Game guides and payment pages that list casinos are generated from our review data, so they update when the reviews do.

8. Corrections policy

  1. Anyone can report an error by emailing [email protected]. Please include the page and, ideally, a link to the official page that shows the correct information.
  2. We verify the report against the casino’s or provider’s own pages. We don’t change facts on the strength of a message alone.
  3. Confirmed errors are corrected and the page date is updated. Where the change is material to a reader’s decision, such as wagering, a payment method or a score, the review states what changed.
  4. If a correction changes a category score, the overall rating is recalculated and every list that shows it updates automatically.
  5. Requests from casinos are handled the same way: we correct facts that their own pages prove wrong, but we don’t remove fair criticism or change scores on request.

9. Translations

Hindi pages are written from the current English version with the same facts and sources. If the English review changes, the Hindi review is updated to match. Pages in one language link to their counterpart in the other.
