Crash games turned a very simple idea into one of the busiest corners of the online casino. A multiplier starts climbing from 1x. You can cash out at any moment and keep your stake times the current multiplier. If the round crashes first, you lose. Nothing else to learn, and a round can be over in seconds.
Many studios now make a version, and the details differ more than the themes suggest: RTP, the number of bets you can run at once, how auto cash-out works, and even whether you can cash out at all. This guide compares five titles using only what their makers publish: Spribe’s Aviator, Pragmatic Play’s Spaceman, SmartSoft’s JetX, Evolution’s Red Baron, and BGaming’s Aviamasters, which is often listed with crash games but works differently.
For a deep dive on one game, see our Aviator guide and Aviator strategy basics. For the latest releases, see crash games news for autumn 2026.
How a crash round works
Every classic crash game follows the same loop:
- Betting window. Before the round, you place one or more bets.
- Take-off. The multiplier starts at 1x and rises, shown as a plane, rocket or astronaut climbing.
- Cash out. At any point you can press cash out. Your stake is multiplied by the multiplier at that moment.
- Crash. At a random point the round ends. Any bet not cashed out by then is lost.
Spribe’s description of Aviator puts it in one line: “an increasing curve that can crash anytime… Player must cash out before lucky plane flies away.” Pragmatic Play’s Spaceman page says the same thing in its own words: “Press the cashout button before he crashes to apply the current multiplier to your bet and win. Fail to cash out before Spaceman comes to a stop and your wager is lost.”
The crash point is not something you can read from the screen. Each round is random, and past rounds tell you nothing about the next one.
Auto cash-out
Most crash games let you set a target multiplier in advance. When the round reaches it, the game cashes out for you. This matters for two reasons. It removes the temptation to “wait a little longer”. It also protects you if your connection drops mid-round. Spaceman, JetX and Red Baron all list an auto cash-out option on their official pages.
The games compared
Aviator (Spribe)
Aviator is the game that made crash a mainstream casino genre. Spribe’s page lists a 97% Return to Player and highlights social features: in-game chat, Live Bets (everyone can see what others are betting and winning) and Live Statistics with daily, monthly and all-time leaderboards.
Spribe also runs a Provably Fair system. According to its page, the operator generates a server seed, and a hashed version of it is public before the round starts. Client seeds from players are combined with the server seed into a SHA512 hash, and the round result comes from that hash. After a round you can open the game history, click the “provably fair” icon, and see the server seed, player seeds, combined hash and result. More detail is in our Aviator guide.
Spaceman (Pragmatic Play)
Pragmatic Play calls Spaceman a “cosmic crash game”. Its page lists:
- RTP: 95%
- A cashout button and auto-cashout option
- A 50% auto-cashout option, with custom limits for both
- In-depth statistics, leaderboards and a detailed game history
The 50% auto-cashout is the feature to understand before you play. The official page names it but does not explain it in detail, so open the game rules to see exactly how it settles.
JetX (SmartSoft)
SmartSoft says JetX launched in 2018 and calls it “the first flying crash game”. Its current page describes a “New Era of JetX” with:
- Up to four simultaneous bets
- Advanced Auto-play and Auto Cashout
- Live player data and round history
- Moderated chat
- A lightweight 3.9 MB build that SmartSoft says loads 60% faster
Four bets at once is more than most crash games allow, but it is not an advantage. It is four separate stakes, each with its own chance of being lost. SmartSoft’s JetX page does not state an RTP, so check the game’s info screen. Our autumn 2026 crash news covers the JetX relaunch in more detail.
Red Baron (Evolution)
Evolution, best known for live dealer games, announced Red Baron on 12 November 2025. In its launch release:
- A plane takes off with a multiplier that “can climb up to 20,000x”.
- You can set Auto Cash Out or cash out manually.
- Real-time statistics show top wins from recent rounds and live updates as other players cash out.
- It comes in two versions: one with a live video stream and a red-uniformed game host, and a host-free version without the stream.
- Evolution calls it its third crash game, after Stock Market and Race Track.
Evolution’s announcement does not state an RTP, so look it up in the game’s Help screen.
Aviamasters (BGaming): plane theme, different mechanics
Aviamasters is often grouped with crash games, but BGaming classes it as a casual game, and there is no cash-out button. Its page lists:
- RTP: 97%
- Volatility: Low
- Max multiplier: 250x
- Released 2 July 2024
How it plays, per BGaming: you set your bet and send the plane on a random flight path. A “Counter Balance” above the plane starts at your stake. It grows when the plane hits multipliers (+1, +2, +5, +10 and x2, x3, x4, x5) and is divided by 2 each time the plane hits a rocket. If the plane lands on the aircraft carrier, you are paid the Counter Balance. If it lands in the water, the round is lost. You can also choose from four playback speeds.
So the only decision is your stake. Everything after that is automatic. Keep that in mind if you are used to timing cash-outs in Aviator.

What the RTP gap means in rupees
RTP is a long-run average across a huge number of rounds, not a promise for your session. It is still useful for comparing games.
Our calculation: suppose you stake a total of ₹10,000 over many rounds (for example 200 rounds of ₹50).
- At 97% RTP, the expected long-run return is ₹9,700, an average cost of ₹300.
- At 95% RTP, the expected long-run return is ₹9,500, an average cost of ₹500.
That is two-thirds more expected cost for the same amount of play. Your real result in any one session can be far above or below these figures. Our RTP and volatility guide explains why.
Sensible ways to play crash games
- Set auto cash-out before the round. A target you choose in advance beats a decision made while the number is climbing.
- Fix a session budget and a round limit. Rounds are very short, so a ₹1,000 budget at ₹50 a round is only 20 losing rounds.
- Treat multiple bets as multiple stakes. Two or four bets per round multiplies what you can lose.
- Ignore “predictors” and signal groups. In Provably Fair games the outcome is fixed before the round starts. Nobody can sell you the next crash point.
- Check bonus terms. Some casinos restrict which games count towards wagering. Read our welcome bonus guide first.
If you like quick instant games but want something without a crash mechanic, compare Mines and Plinko.

Crash Games: common questions
What is a crash game?
A crash game is a round-based game where a multiplier rises from 1x until it suddenly stops, or 'crashes'. You win your stake times the multiplier if you cash out before the crash, and lose the stake if you do not. Aviator, Spaceman, JetX and Red Baron all work this way.
Which crash game has the highest RTP?
Of the games in this guide, Spribe lists 97% for Aviator and BGaming lists 97% for Aviamasters. Pragmatic Play lists 95% for Spaceman. SmartSoft's JetX page and Evolution's Red Baron announcement do not state an RTP, so check the in-game rules for those.
What does 50% auto-cashout mean in Spaceman?
Pragmatic Play's page lists 'auto-cashout and 50% auto-cashout options' and lets you set custom limits for both. It does not explain the 50% option in detail. Open the game rules to see exactly how much is cashed at your target and what happens to the rest.
Is Aviamasters a crash game?
It is often grouped with crash games because a plane flies and can be lost, but BGaming lists it as a casual game and there is no cash-out button. The plane collects multipliers and hits rockets along a random path, and you are paid only if it lands on the aircraft carrier.
Can any app or signal predict a crash game?
No. Spribe, for example, uses a Provably Fair system in which the server seed is fixed and published in hashed form before the round starts. Anyone selling predictions or signals is selling something that cannot work.
