Football Studio Dice is Evolution’s football-themed dice game. The page calls it “the first-ever dice football game”. It takes the HOME versus AWAY format of Evolution’s card game Football Studio and swaps the cards for dice, borrowing an idea from Bac Bo. Hosts chat about football while four dice decide each “match”.
It is one of the simplest live games to follow, and because it uses dice, the odds can be worked out exactly. This guide covers the rules as Evolution describes them, the “two halves” reveal, our calculation of the odds for every result, and how to approach the draw bets.
How the game works
Evolution’s page sets out the format:
- There are two sides, HOME and AWAY.
- Each side’s score is the sum of two dice.
- The dice are shaken automatically in four individual shakers, two for each side.
- The highest two-dice total wins, giving a HOME or AWAY result.
- If the totals are equal, the result is a DRAW. Evolution says “there are several different payouts depending on the tied dice result, one of them being 80x.”
The two halves
Evolution builds a little drama into the reveal. During betting time, all four dice start shaking at once. The upper HOME and AWAY dice stop first, and the lower HOME and AWAY dice stop a few seconds later. Evolution compares this to a match of two halves: “Even if a player loses the ‘First Half’ dice shake, there’s always the chance to come from behind in the ‘Second Half’ dice shake.”
Only the final totals matter. The first-half dice are just the first part of each team’s score shown early.
A quick example
- First half: HOME’s upper die shows 5, AWAY’s upper die shows 2. HOME leads.
- Second half: HOME’s lower die shows 1 (total 6), AWAY’s lower die shows 6 (total 8).
- Result: AWAY wins 8–6, despite trailing after the first half.
The bets
| Bet | Wins when | Payout |
|---|---|---|
| HOME | HOME total is higher | Shown in the game’s Help screen |
| AWAY | AWAY total is higher | Shown in the game’s Help screen |
| DRAW | Both totals are equal | Several payouts depending on the tied result; one is 80x |
Evolution’s public page does not list the HOME and AWAY payouts, how HOME and AWAY bets are settled on a draw, the full draw paytable, or the RTP. Check all of these in the game before you play.
The odds: our calculation
Because each side’s score is just two dice, every result can be calculated exactly. These figures are our own calculations. They assume four fair, independent six-sided dice, as the game description implies.
How likely is each total?
Two dice can land in 36 equally likely ways. The number of ways to make each total:
| Total | Ways (out of 36) | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 1 | 2.78% |
| 3 | 2 | 5.56% |
| 4 | 3 | 8.33% |
| 5 | 4 | 11.11% |
| 6 | 5 | 13.89% |
| 7 | 6 | 16.67% |
| 8 | 5 | 13.89% |
| 9 | 4 | 11.11% |
| 10 | 3 | 8.33% |
| 11 | 2 | 5.56% |
| 12 | 1 | 2.78% |
HOME, AWAY and DRAW
With two dice per side there are 36 × 36 = 1,296 equally likely combinations.
- DRAW: add up the squares of the “ways” column: 1 + 4 + 9 + 16 + 25 + 36 + 25 + 16 + 9 + 4 + 1 = 146. So a draw happens in 146 ÷ 1,296 = 11.27% of rounds, about 1 in 9.
- HOME win and AWAY win are equally likely, so each takes half of what is left: (1,296 − 146) ÷ 2 = 575, or 575 ÷ 1,296 = 44.37%.
Which draws are rare?
Evolution says the draw payout depends on the tied dice result. The table below shows how likely each specific tie is. It is our calculation; Evolution does not say on its page which tie pays 80x.
| Tied total | Combinations (of 1,296) | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| 2–2 or 12–12 | 1 each | 0.08% each |
| 3–3 or 11–11 | 4 each | 0.31% each |
| 4–4 or 10–10 | 9 each | 0.69% each |
| 5–5 or 9–9 | 16 each | 1.23% each |
| 6–6 or 8–8 | 25 each | 1.93% each |
| 7–7 | 36 | 2.78% |
The pattern is what you would expect: ties at the extremes (2–2 and 12–12) are 36 times rarer than a 7–7 tie. In dice games, the biggest payouts usually go to the rarest results, so check the in-game table to see how Evolution prices each tie.
How to approach the bets
- HOME and AWAY are a near coin flip. Each wins 44.37% of the time by our calculation. The remaining 11.27% are draws, and how a HOME or AWAY bet is treated on a draw makes a real difference to its value. That rule is in the game’s Help screen.
- The DRAW bet is a long shot. It wins about 1 round in 9 overall, and the biggest draw payouts need the rarest ties. Keep it small relative to your main bet.
- The first half does not predict the second. The lower dice are independent of the upper dice. Being 5–1 up after the first half still leaves plenty of room for a comeback, as in our example.
- Past results do not matter. Dice have no memory. A run of HOME wins says nothing about the next round.
A budget example
Suppose you bring ₹1,000 and bet ₹50 a round on HOME. Rounds are short, so 20 rounds can pass in a few minutes. By our calculation, in 20 rounds you would expect about 9 HOME wins, 9 AWAY wins and 2 draws on average, but the actual split can vary a lot. Set a round limit as well as a money limit so the session ends when you planned.

Playing on mobile
The game is easy to follow on a phone: three main bet spots and four dice.
- Make sure your chip value is right before betting closes.
- A stable connection matters, because the betting window is short and the result comes quickly.
- Live streams use more data than RNG games, so keep an eye on mobile data if you are not on Wi-Fi.

Football Studio Dice: common questions
How do you win at Football Studio Dice?
You bet on HOME, AWAY or a DRAW. Each side's score is the total of two dice. The higher two-dice total wins, and equal totals are a DRAW. Evolution says there are several draw payouts depending on the tied result, one of which is 80x.
What are the odds of a draw in Football Studio Dice?
By our calculation, with two fair dice per side, the totals are equal in 146 of the 1,296 possible dice combinations, which is 11.27%. A draw on double 7s is the most likely single tie (2.78%). Draws on 2 or 12 are the rarest (0.08% each).
What does 'First Half' and 'Second Half' mean in Football Studio Dice?
The upper HOME and AWAY dice stop first, which Evolution calls the 'First Half'. The lower dice stop a few seconds later, the 'Second Half'. Your result depends on the final two-dice totals, so a side that trails after the first dice can still come back.
What is the RTP of Football Studio Dice?
Evolution's public game page does not state an RTP or the full payout table. Open the Help screen in the game to see the payouts for HOME, AWAY and each type of draw before you bet.
