Playtech has added a new land-based venue to its live casino. On 15 September 2026, the company and The Hippodrome Casino announced Live from London, a set of live tables broadcast from inside one of the UK’s best-known casinos and offered to online players through Playtech’s network.
For players who like the feel of a real casino floor rather than a studio set, it is one of the more interesting live casino launches of the autumn.
What Live from London includes
According to Playtech’s announcement, the stream is “broadcast live from inside The Hippodrome” and will feature four games at launch:
| Game | Category |
|---|---|
| Dual Roulette | Roulette |
| Studio Core Roulette | Roulette |
| Blackjack | Card game |
| Baccarat | Card game |
Playtech says the portfolio “is expected to expand further with additional tables” as the partnership develops. The announcement does not give table limits, opening hours or a list of future games, so those details will depend on what each casino shows in its lobby.
Live from London is the latest addition to Playtech’s “Live From” range, which brings tables from real gaming venues to online audiences.
What the two companies said
Marat Koss, Playtech’s Chief Interactive Gaming Officer, said partnering with “iconic gaming destinations remains a key part of our strategy” and that Live from London “merges the authenticity of a premium land-based casino and our technology”.
George Constantinou, The Hippodrome’s Director of Online Gaming, said the venue “has been entertaining guests in the heart of London for more than a century” and that working with Playtech lets it “introduce our unique atmosphere to audiences around the world”.
Also from Playtech: a live bingo stream
Nine days later, on 24 September 2026, Playtech announced a Live Bingo Stream built around a show called Dab & Blab Live. It combines bingo with live chat, mini-games, quizzes, themed entertainment and prizes. Playtech says it runs as a shared Playtech Network Stream across its UK and .COM bingo network and is accessible from multiple Playtech Bingo rooms. Bingo is a smaller category for most Indian players, but the launch shows the same trend: more live, hosted content outside the traditional table games.
How venue tables differ from studio tables
Most live dealer games you see in an Indian-facing lobby, such as Lightning Roulette, Baccarat or Blackjack tables, come from purpose-built studios. A venue stream like Live from London is filmed on a working casino floor instead. A few practical points:
- The game rules don’t change. Roulette, blackjack and baccarat follow the same rules. Payouts and side bets depend on the specific table, so open the help or rules screen before betting.
- The atmosphere is different. You may see the real casino around the table. Some players enjoy that; others prefer the cleaner look of a studio.
- Limits vary. Our roulette bets guide explains payouts and house edge, and our live casino guide for India covers how to read table limits.
Where to find Playtech live games
Playtech (or Playtech Live) appears in the provider lists of many casinos we review, including Lucky Days, BC.Game, Winz.io, Ivibet, Oshi, Immerion, King Billy and Playfina. A casino listing Playtech does not mean it carries every Playtech live table. New venue streams usually roll out to operators gradually, so search the live lobby for “London” or “Hippodrome”.
What it means for players
Live from London adds no new game type. It is classic roulette, blackjack and baccarat from a famous casino floor. Its appeal is the setting. If you try it, treat it like any other live table: check the limits and rules first, set a budget, and remember that the house edge is the same whether the wheel is in a studio or on the floor of the Hippodrome.
