Wondertrain Slot (ELK Studios): Max Win, Coin Fever and Features

Wondertrain is a new ELK Studios slot, listed on ELK’s game page with the release note “Release November 3rd”. ELK sums it up as a 5-reel, 4-row “steaming slot” with wilds, a global multiplier, coins, a coin game, a bonus and a super bonus, with a potential of 10,000x the bet. What the game is

The star is Wilbur, “an eccentric tycoon and proud owner of Wilbur’s Gold Company”. He drives a gold-fed train around the world collecting riches, and the more he collects, the more he feeds the furnace, pushing the Wondertrain “into galactic speeds”. ELK’s feature names follow the theme: Feed The Furnace, the Multiplier Truck and Wilbur’s Coin Fever.

How it plays

The grid is 5 reels by 4 rows. Wild symbols substitute for any payout symbol except Coins when they are part of a winning line. ELK’s page does not give the number of lines.

• Multiplier Truck. Each winning combination adds the leftmost multiplier value to a global multiplier, which multiplies the total win. Coin wins are not included.
• Coins. Gold, Silver and Bronze Coins can land anywhere on the reels. 3 or more Coins landing is a win. Coins are collected and may trigger Wilbur’s Coin Fever.
• Wilbur’s Coin Fever. A coin game that starts with 3 spins. Landing any symbol on the unlocked rows resets the spins, and Pressure symbols unlock more rows. All coin values on the fifth reel are multiplied by 2.

Bonus game and X-iter

3 or more Bonus symbols trigger the Bonus game. Each spin in the round increases the value on the Multiplier Wild Meter, and that value is applied to the Multiplier Wild when it is part of a win. ELK also mentions a super bonus but does not describe how it is reached on the game page.

X-iter lets players jump straight into the action with 5 game modes, from a 2.5x bet mode with more than three times the chance to trigger the bonus up to a 250x bet super bonus. Some casinos switch X-iter off.

Who it suits

Wondertrain is for players who like coin-collect games with a hold-style mini game on top of a line slot. The global multiplier rewards chains of wins, and the Coin Fever round adds a second route to payouts. ELK has not published a volatility rating, so treat the 10,000x potential as a ceiling, not an expectation, and set a budget before you start.
