Nunchucks is a new video slot from NetEnt, released on 29 October 2026. It sets four martial-arts nuns against a gang of thieves, and it is built around a set of “Nun” symbols that switch on different features. Below we cover how it plays and the numbers NetEnt publishes, with nothing added from guesswork.
What the game is
NetEnt’s story is simple. A gangster called Sinpin and his crew have been robbing the communion boxes of a city church. Mother Sofia and Sisters Faith, Hope and Love decide to stop turning the other cheek and dust off their old training. The tone is comic action rather than horror, with rosaries, grenades and a lot of flying kicks.
How it plays
The game runs on a 6x4 grid with 4,096 ways to win. Wins pay across adjacent reels rather than on fixed lines.
The heart of the game is the Nun symbols. Each one that lands switches on its own feature and can start a Re-Spin sequence. Features stay active for the whole sequence, and more than one can run at once:
- Colossal Nun creates a Colossal Mystery Symbol from 2x2 up to 4x4 in size. It turns into a regular paying symbol, or into a Giant Wild if it overlaps a Wild Reel.
- Wild Reel Nun turns the whole reel it lands on into wilds.
- Multiplier Nun adds multipliers to one or more reels. When a win uses reels with multipliers, their values are added together and applied to the win.
- Upgrade Nun does not start a new feature. It strengthens active ones, for example growing the Colossal symbol, doubling reel multipliers or adding one to three extra Wild Reels.
Regular Wilds substitute for everything except Bonus, Super Bonus and Nun symbols.
Bonus Spins start when 3, 4, 5 or 6 Bonus symbols land, giving 8, 10, 12 or 14 spins. If one of the trigger symbols is a Super Bonus symbol, you get Super Bonus Spins instead. Nun features can keep landing during both rounds.
NetEnt also lists five paid Elevate Features: Bonus Hunt (3x the bet), Guaranteed Nun (25x), Bonus Spins (100x), Super Bonus Spins (300x) and Super Nun Spin (500x).
The numbers
| Detail | Figure |
|---|---|
| Release date | 29 October 2026 |
| RTP | 96.21% |
| Volatility | Not published |
| Max win | 12,000x |
| Layout | 6x4, 4,096 ways |
NetEnt’s page does not give a volatility label, so we have not assigned one. The feature buys starting at 3x and going up to 500x the bet show that a single bonus can cost a lot, so plan stakes with that in mind.
Who it suits
Nunchucks fits players who like games where several features stack together, since most of the action comes from Nun features combining during Re-Spins. If you prefer simple line slots with a steady drip of small wins, this is probably not the one. The Elevate options are tempting, but they raise the cost of each round sharply; if you use them, set a firm budget first.
Where to play
NetEnt appears in the provider lists of several casinos we have reviewed, including BitStarz, Stake, Casoo, Wazbee, Cashy and iWild. A studio being on the list does not guarantee that a brand-new title is live in every lobby, so search for Nunchucks by name before you deposit. Feature buys may also be switched off at some casinos.
Check the RTP before you play
The 96.21% figure comes from NetEnt’s page. Casinos can choose from different RTP settings for the same game, and the version you get may be lower. Open the game’s info or paytable screen at your casino and look for the stated RTP. Our RTP and volatility guide explains why this matters.
